Author Alyssa Kress (see covers I did for her) now offers an editing service. She’s edited her own and other people’s books for a long time and wants to do it professionally. She loves the process of writing and wants to encourage others.

- Development Coach – step-by-step construction or revision of your project, including plot outline and development, characterization, and GMC (goal-motivation-conflict)
- Content Edit – a “big picture” feedback on your finished draft, which includes a detailed analysis of the major elements of your book as listed above: plot outline and development, characterization, GMC, continuity, pacing, theme
- Stylistic Edit (sometimes called line or copy edit) – the small, but important, stuff: word choice, word economy, grammar, spelling
- “Professional” Beta Read – this is like a Content Edit, but less detailed and more economical.
